No thread for this week's EV. Did everyone find it easier than I did?

A cracker of a puzzle I thought.

I was very happy to have all but finished it onthe Sunday (a very rare event!) but I cannot for the life o fme find a word to fit 10 ac "Cloth from the East, front for kabala's fine" (misprint corrected) Any help there? And yes I found it really enjoyable

I think the answer is erick - a blood fine. However, I am stuck with 9 dn - something egg? and 46 ac I have ten - w, which is obviously wrong but I don't know why. That apart, it's done but not too sure of the names and phrases although have most of it.
