I must be missing something, but I don't understand where 14AC comes in to the phrases? Are we saying that all the phrases refer to 14 9, although that seems a stretch for the furry animal underground.

Does this come from the missing letters phrase? What made you put 14 19 20 together? I can see the sense in it, although I still cannot understand that they are all song titles.

I missed out 1 - I meant14,19,1,20. Who said they should all be song titles?

Of the seven phrases I got, one is a very well-known philosophical saying by Descartes, one is a novel/film and the other five are song titles.

20/34/26/27
20/19/30
20/22
20/35/19/13/20
20/19/33/3
19/1/20
20/29
5/10/20

are all song titles - gives 8(20's) and 4(19's) - unfortunately leaves 14A which is admittedly unsatisfactory.
The Special Instructions do seem to indicate that 14A should form part of a phrase rather than allude to the other phrases.
