On the basis of the letters and spaces you've given, I don't think there is an alternative but, like you, I can't find that precise definition.

I am back again to contradict myself. I have just found a definition on a site which Big Dave [bless him] recommended some weeks ago and which I have bookmarked. Try:

which searches any number of dictionaries and immdediately threw up three definitions for sunfish - the third of which is, more or less, what you are looking for.
