Have finished it (I think!), but don't understand why two answers are what they are! Can anyone explain please?!

24d F1 car pros do regularly race for these (5)P_D_A PODIA?

The first one is an anagram of exposing without the cross (X)

PrOsDo give the first three letters (wasn't too sure about the IA though. But I believe PODIA is correct.
