1) Who wrote a play featuring himself and Shakespeare?

2) In which play does a pimp employ a servant who shares his SURNAME with a famous 19th/20th century orchestral conductor? (P.S I thought of Sir Adrian Boult but Boult (Pericles) only has one name so this cannot be right!)

BOULT seems to me most likely to be the answer.

Suppose they meant to write that he shares the surname of a composer?

PS: To make it clearer:

he shares a name that is the surname of a composer
