Help please!!
1.Sounds of jab below the belt and punch-up overwhelming ring newcomer (8) ?E?P???D (I think)
2.Perhaps suitable for ringing stomach (5) Could it be 'bells' but why? Thank s for any help.

Possibly neophyte (newcomer). Struggling to make it completely fit the clue though. Fight (phyte)for punch-up and 'o' for ring. See you what you think?

Thanks for that but if it is 'yelpings' 'belly' won't fit.Can you explain why 'yelpings'
Another one which may help - nasty corner cramps radius bone (8) ?O?R???E. Could it be 'horrible' but don't know why!!

Horrible (nasty) looks ok to me.

R (radius) rib (bone) surrounded by hole.
