32d Point's tougher, extremely hampered by poor pool style (12). -R-A-T---O-- (Thought of breaststroke, but why?)
40d Southern Chinese touring Hong Kong initially before rearing tiger (5,4). S-E - -/- H - -

47a is SPITTLE. (39 is saliva). The only word I can find for 53a is cleaner, but I cannot understand the clue!
