One of my pet hates turned up in this one.
22a Country I leave if actors cover trigger (8)
Despite what media say, the answer does not mean "trigger"! (I'll explain precisley why it's wrong if anyone is interested.)
My other one is "epicentre", which is almost always used incorrectly, because the correct "centre" isn't polysyllabic enough for the pretentious p***s who use it!
I'm not too happy about 1d and 2d either.

I found "a small Eurasian songbird that was formerly eaten whole as a delicacy. I've never heard of it. Is that the right one?
