Ok there must be folk out there chomping at the bit to solve some clues - so here are some old favourites (just in case you haven't seen them before).

1. Frank had slightly more than Edith (7)
2. A bar of soap (6,6)
3. (3,3,3,1,4)
4. Beer with creamy head such as Guinness (4)

No 2 was originally set by Rufus (Roger Squires) of Guardian Cryptic crossword fame ~ I've read somewhere that it is his favourite of his many, many clues.

No 4 must be ~ Alec.

I've seen something like No 3 before, think I know the last two words, have to give the others a bit of thought.

When I was an absolute beginner to crosswords,this one stumped me and as it was a magazine I had to wait 3 weeks for the solution.
