Norah eating raisin wheats deleting Spam, can’t think of a proper answer!

Sorry Malone, up late. Looked at clock at 6am, was thinking about getting up, next thing I knew it was 8am

I shall venture "scrambled eggs"?
"ore" anagram of "roe", which are fish eggs.

Correct, Rusty - thanks. I remembered the old story about 'Gegs' being classed as one of the best-ever crossword clues - but it couldn't/shouldn't be. Although the 'eggs' are scrambled in that one, there's no definition.

Norah, thanks - maybe this post will inspire tomorrow's breakfast.

Hello, Malone!
I saw scrambled eggs fitted early on, but it took a while before I cottoned on to "ore/roe"!
A good one....well done!

I agree with you Malone.
Your clue is far superior to the supposedly 'best ever'.

That's very kind of you, Rossim. The 'gegs' clue stuck in my brain because I myself had thought of it as very good - until I learned more about crosswords!
