Sun's exposed, and very annoyed (8).

I don't suppose there is a word "ragouted", Malone?
And it is an anagram of "outraged".
Time I had a coffee, methinks!

I like the new word, Rusty - it could mean 'stewed', as a ragout is a casserole. My clue just had Rag, Sun, inside Outed, exposed.

Rusty, the annoyance with the spam lead to a little run of 'annoyed' clues - ranting, raving and being outraged!

I think it was purely by chance I solved it, Malone.
I could see Sun/rag and exposed/outed and wrote down and pondered "ragouted".
Then I spotted it was an anagram of the correct answer "outraged".
Hope my form holds up when I do The Times later!

Glad the clue didn't leave you feeling outraged yourself, Rusty - some of them are rattled off very quickly! Maybe next time the spammers appear I'll be all sweetness and light, and the answers can be words such as 'happy' and 'sunny disposition'.
