34a: Changing out of uniform, shapeless, in allotment. (14)
**T*M*R*H*S*N* the only word that fits is "metamorphosing" but I cannot relate it to the clue. Can anyone enlighten me?

Amorphous = shapeless
Out of uniform, remove the U, so Amorphos
Allotment = Meting

In allotment = put it inside,so...

Met amorphos ing.

Thanks again Malone. I see my mistake. For 55a I had "motherlands" rather than "Netherlands". All isclear.
