Where's the 2nd "author" please?

I'd have thought it should be TINTORETTO, but no sign of him, I can almost trace a circuitous BELLEGAMBE but not quite...

Hi xwordfan, "author" as in "a person who brings things into being".

I'm sorry I can't answer that. For the second time in 4 weeks I've returned home to find my Sunday Telegraph doesn't include the "Sunday" section. Would be very grateful if somebody could email me a copy to jcwagg@googlemail.com. Time to sack the newsagent.

I thought the use of 'author' was great, though the rest of the puzzle wasn't much of a challenge.
