When I first started attempting this crossword I could not work out a lot of the clues. With the help of you guys I have started to understand the way the compiler thinks and have been able to win it. A nice bottle of malt whisky. Thanks guys.
As part of the learning curve can you help me with the following clue.

23 across: Part of Scotland, not Belgium, in which sisters live. (6) unless I have gone wrong elsewhere the letters I have are ?F?E?S
