My musical knowledge does not stretch to A flat being a black key. Actually I'm tone deaf.

Will have to look at 26 across because it clearly does not end in S!

As a violinist, the term "black key" means nothing to me. A flat is just another key. The term would only have meaning for keyboard players. I cannot say I have ever heard it used by any pianists I know.

I don't think anyone's using 'black key' as an actual term - just that a flat is a black key (on a piano). I didn't think of it as any form of specialised knowledge, just a description!
