Need a bit of help parsing.
18a) Flawless turning needed after bad test for fit (5,2)
O?F?R /?P
It's got to be Offer Up, but can't see why at all!

Flawless = Pure, turning = erup, coming after ('after')
Off = bad
Off erup.
Offer Up, test for fit.

Thanks Malone, it's the test for fit part l don't get. Why is that a meaning for offer up. That can only mean foregoing something like a gift to the gods or something can't it?
Much head scratching going on here lol.

Rozbogs, under 'Offer Up', Chambers has 'in eg joinery, to position on a trial basis, in order to test for size and suitability before fixing' - so it seems to work, just!

I felt I should offer you (not 'offer up') something - I'd assumed earlier that it was the parsing you wanted!
