I have identified 8 of the 10 identities to be removed, all familiar, but among a much larger universe what is it that these 8 have in common. Surely each isn't an example of exiting by each of the 10 means. If so it could be a long hard struggle to identify the eleventh - the survivor.

I have all ten and I'm pretty sure none of them ever exited by the second of the three spelt out ways, so I don't think each is an example. I have a tentative survivor but I'm not convinced.

Thanks kobnut. I'm missing the two at 12 and 21, and I haven't searched for the 4-letter one yet. There must be a connection between the ten and the survivor, surely, other than what they all do for a living.

31 I have an answer but can’t parse....

31d is a treated answer. Look up the alternative meaning of punk ( new to me). Common word for to court, then d for daughter, then a word to start meaning pairing.
