A fiendish & satisfying puzzle.

Mr Magoo might have been a little more forthcoming as to the nature of the "four foreign-language words" though!

I am a subscriber, I'd prefer not to breach their copyright by scanning. There may be others on this site who would.

For about £4 it's a bloody good crossword attached to some considered free-thinking analysis and opinion.

help with:
29a. Circulate penny by where it may be spent (4) ?O??

Are the four unclued foreign words in the same language?

Since I don't know any of the other European languages, this may be tough too solve. But we will see.

Thanks.

Thanks xwordfan.

That was very helpful.
With the p from loop, I was able to find 26d. Googled it and found the four foreign words.
All done now.

BTW, does 8A start with an F?

Song or dance following song and dance (4)
Don't know how it parses.

They are the same language and combine to make a phrase.

Magoo can be a little oblique, I took is at Fa as in Do-Re-Me and Do to mean a dance.
