sorry yvon, been away from my computer.
All i can think of is Hedge,as in hedge ones bets.
hopefully someone will improve on that.

I'm pretty sure that weight is right tho.

I've had a look around and hedge can mean avoid(duties, questions, or issues);EG They tend to DUCK their responsibilities and hedge can also mean try to COVER your losses(hedge your bets).

I believe there is also a duck called a Hedge duck
