It must be equator but why?

The other does look like EQUATOR, but I'm not seeing a parsing.

Sorry, I thought "jumbo" was the more obvious part of plane :)

I wonder if the 'Equatorial bulge'
Is what is being described here ???

Twice as high in Ecuador than anywhere else on the equator.

Just a crazy guess by the way.

Clue....Made fast leap or march(5).
Not happy with the march bit.
