1dn. Chemical sample of a strong drink (short), the first to test (7)- A?I?U?T.
Could you please explain why? I can't find any possible dictionary answers.

An aliquot in chemistry is a portion of a total amount of a solution.

Mein Gott, I would never have got that in a month of Sundays. Or O.k. in a fortnight when they printed the answers.
