Completed but not much enjoyed. Too many obscure references requiring dictionary, e.g. 3, 14, 19, 22,& 25. 13dn has to be the worst homophone I can remember. And what does refained mean? On the positive side 18dn was a good clue.
It looks like I'm going to find the FT more fun for the third Saturday running.

Be positive, Ron - if you had to consult the dictionary then you've learned some new words. "Refained" is the snobbish way of pronouncing "refined".

Do you mean the guardian killer 194? Just printed it off to have a go at.

Could you explain "trey" for me please (I have heard it as a 3 and have heard of a 3-card trick) and give me more clues or answers to 11 and 16?
