Thank you again,
I couldn't find Charlie Schultz but I found in my Encyclopedia that I am going to have a good look round !!! - by adding a ? to my known letters.

Yet another underwhelming performance by England... If Schulz hasn't triggered the answer then I'd better explain that this American cartoonist created Peanuts but it's his canine character which loses his tail - y!

If you want another clue, look to the England result for the 3rd and 4th letters

Hi all
In my previous thread I used my dictionary's
meaning of the answer hoping to show I had cracked 6 down. On page 15 of Saturday's
adeeilprssyx(anag 5.7) is an item I enjoyed
reading about a Tuscan genius.
Be good.

Finished in under 2 hours! Must have been easier!! 24a took the longest. Went to make a cuo of tea in the England v.Algeria match(nothing better to do!) and the answer was there in front of me! Finish the crossword, switch off the T.V. and watch the real England game in the pub on Saturday morning. Much better option!
