Finished this week’s except for two answers. Hope you can help.

20 Down:
Top mimic capturing monster, right away. _ P _ G _ _

The word APOGEE fits but I can’t work out why it fits with the clue...APE is mimic so could be to do with that?

And 25 Across:
People in revolution breaking heart of fogeyish opponent
_ _ E _ Y

ENEMY fits but again can’t think why. Could be something to do with MEN backwards being people in revolution as in, in reverse

20d apogee
ape with og(r)e

25 enemy
men + heart(middle letters of ) fogEYish

I should have given the def. as
apogee - top
enemy - opponent
