What a great link, Jim C!
I actually live in Norfolk... and haven't even heard of half of those places!
Not much help, am I?!?

Hi Blondie.

I don't live in Norfolk but visited Great Yarmouth quite a few years ago and saw Leslie Crowther walking along the promenade there. Crackerjack!

Thanks for that link Jim C. I had already been there previously but could not find anything to fit these particular clues, although I did find some to fit other questions, so yes it is a good site.
On Q.6 I was thinking I was looking for something ending with the word land and could not get that out of my head. Other clues welcome if you can help

Hi Simone.

For your clue number 6 ...

A 6-letter word for the type of duck that Jemima is (also slang for 'heavy rain')
+ 4-letter word for the place in a law court where the accused sits or stands
    = the 10-letter placename.

Hi again Simone.

For Jemima, think of the title of a book about a duck written by Beatrix Potter.
For the 4-letter word for 'terra firma' ... when a ship arrives at a port, it often "comes alongside a ????".

Or I could just post the answer (but first I'd need your written permission)! Going to do the mowing now, though, so someone else can help too, I'm sure.

I don't know what quiz these clues are from but I hope they are in aid of a good cause (other than you, of course).

Hi Jim c you have gone to so much trouble to help me but has not Blondie given an answer that seems to fit the clue, or am I getting clues confused.
I had never heard of poringland but I have had a look and sure enough it is in S. Norfolk.
Get the mowing done before the rain comes again.
Still stuck with the rest
