A very tough one- so far I have about ten solutions, no idea where to put them. I can guess the first word of one of the instructions.

For clue "Something added....." I can think of an 8 letter answer, which presumably is wrong.

Any thoughts?

I can't help you with that one Dylan, but I also have a question. Is it one cell in the whole grid containing two letters, or one per clue? I think it must be one in the whole grid as I have an 11 letter answer.

I also think this one is very tough, I have cold solved about 15 so far, its a bit like pulling teeth!

I agree with you Planks - there must be just one cell doing double duty in the whole grid as I have an eleven letter answer too. Two extra letters per clue makes this hard work!

Is the mushroom solution an 11 letter one?

Dylan - I have that as a 7 letter answer. Anagram of L worse bit with 2 omissions.

I have Rum old hospital as one of the 11 letter answers if that helps.

Has anyone else got a three letter word for the clue 'something added' ? I'm not convinced that it's correct

I have the crossword all sorted and understood... apart from the resolution of the ambiguity. Don't see how the instruction resolves it, surely it could still be either way around? Is there a penny-drop moment still out there for me to have?
