Another weirdly easy Listener, with some Telegraph standard clues. But I must admit I had never heard of the autobiography, and as I love cricket I checked it out on Amazon. One used copy, £117.50. Ho hum...

I don't usually finish on a Friday so this one must have been straightforward. Didn't know of the sporting achievement and enjoyed the juxtaposition of events.

I see only 11 letters for the incident, not 12. What am I missing?

I agree about the 11 letters, although, to make the shape symmetric, another letter is required. I s that the 12th? Doesn't quite seem to fit the preamble.

A twelfth letter would be nonsensical. I suppose if all twelve cells are highlighted, the incident still appears in those twelve cells, but it seems a bit daft. It would make more sense if the victim were on the left and the incident differently shown so the two meet at a more appropriate junction.

It’s a typo.

It has been clarified on website- it’s 11 cells.

Listener website states that 12 cells is a misprint. It should be 11 cells. Problem resolved.

I think there may be another slight issue. Should 27a be 2 words?

An enjoyable stroll with the achiever new to me and memories of a clever highlighted grid reprentation by a previous setter.
