That's a poor clue if BARNET is right (as it probably is), as "Barnet" for hair or wig is rhyming slang from Barnet Fair (in north London), so it is self-referential

In fact, the rhyming slang for "wig" is "syrup" (Syrup of figs), so perhaps BARNET isn't right!

A wig is hair. Barnet is hair or hairstyle (rhyming slang). Barnet is a Borough in London. Not the greatest of clues. Syrup is rhyming slang for wig.

If Barnet does not fit, then syrup might fit.......In the East end (cockney area of London) a wig would be "syrup" ?
