23 Anti, against - ie 'not for'. It's from Meantime, intervening period - take off Me and Me (me repeatedly dodging) to be left with Anti.

16 Monomer, molecule in compound. It's an anagram of 'no more' and the 'm' at the beginning of 'mutate'.
