4d 'Twelve points in separate supposition' must be PREMISE or PREMISS both of which are valid and similar meaning words. But apart form the connection with supposition, I don't understand why!!

Can somebody help me and therefore tell me if the last letter is 'e' or 's' ???

Hi Deekay.

I think PREMISE is the answer. PRISE (separate) around EM (12pt - a linear unit (1/6 inch) used in printing).
