Grid is complete, but I am not seeing the connection between 10a and 11a

...unless it is the "exam" in 11a relating to school

No connection that I can see, jazzy, though it isn't all that unusual for ellipses to be used misleadingly in this way. The connection between 1 and 4 is a bit sketchy too (you could argue that there is one, but each clue stands alone).

Much more entertaining than a typical Imogen, I thought, though I was a bit miffed that my confidently entered FOI of AUDIENCE for 12a wasn't right!

I spent some time on 6d trying to work "beard" in; did you know that Walt Disney wouldn't employ anyone with a beard - "pogonophobia!

Good Morning Chris
It was the ellipsis that i thought might have given a connection.
I also entered audience before solving 13d !
A couple of humorous clues made me smile 22a and 6d

Yes, I liked those. Favourite was 25a, though

Bouncer's horse in dead heat, right?

Quite entertaining. The grid was fully completed in the morning, but the SE corner yielded after much resistance.

I have entered the solutions, but I'm still stuck on the parsing/references of 14a (Country-style nickname Alice could give either twin?) and 20d (How one might briefly describe the Princess Royal's body?).
Can anybody provide me with explanations without spoilers, please?

Also, I don't understand the use of "actor" in the clue for 12a.

14 The nickname refers to country people, Alice in Wonderland met ?????..... and ?????.....
20 D - split the answer in two - 4, 3. I liked it!
