Again . . no letter number . . and not well parsed . . to add to the challenge
Looks like a lot of the answers to the previous lot will remain with the setter . .

1. The failed twitcher
2. Caution to wait
3. Trumped
4. Ring the bell insistently
5. African athlete

A twitcher is a birdwatcher. To "dip" in birdwatcher slang is to fail to see a bird. A failed twitcher would thus be a dipper, which is a type of bird?

ab . . You appear to be spot on

I've been fretting over these for weeks . .

Might have got 'buzzard' eventually(???)

But never 'dipper'

Well done :)

2,
Another name for the kestrel is "windhover".
Hover can mean "wait", but I can't tie in "wind/caution" !

Hello, Hannah!
For the "caution" one, I was thinking "yellow" as in a yellow card caution at football.
There is a yellow hammer but I can't see it fitting the clue!
Good luck with the rest, though!
