11across 4,5 letters c???, ??p?e , clue Bend back with bundle containing very soft fruit. All I can get is crab apple and that sure isn't a soft fruit!

11 Crab Apple looks fine. Bend - arc, back means it becomes Cra and add PP, very soft and Bale, bundle. Cra ba pp le.
The definition is just 'fruit'.

You've missed out the clue for 3 Down. I don't have the paper,, so can't help.
