I've finished the puzzle but not happy with a couple of answers. Perhaps someone could explain or correct....
33a responsible for growing crops without a whole set of directions. ASSIGNABLE. I assume it's got something to do with arable but apart from the definition I can't see it.
21d soundly fix some roofing felt. TACKING. Can't see where the roofing felt comes in.
It's probably all very obvious but help would be much appreciated.

33a: answerable = responsible for
arable - growing crops
NSWE - whole set of directions

21d TACTILE? , felt
Sounds like tack tile

21d: tactile = felt
sounds like "tack tile"
