Another one from the same crossword:

I don't understand the solution (other than 'when' expressing time) for this one:

"Whisky drinkers say it is just a matter of time [4]"

Solution: WHEN

Whisky drinkers say 'when' when their drink is being poured out and you've given them enough and 'when' is also just 'a matter of time'.

Thanks Malone. And I guess the "wh" is a clue too? Otherwise the clue could have been any drink, eg "wine drinkers say . . ."

Hmm, I don't really see the 'wh' as a clue . I don't think 'when' is used as much for wine drinkers, maybe more for people drinking spirits?

Ah, OK. I didn't realise 'when' was used mainly for drinking spirits.
