Thank you K. I've got (?) several answers now - what is puzzling me is - are any of the clues normal? All of those I've got so far conform to one or other from the preamble.

Hi AJT

There are no 'normal' clues.
27 of them contain 2 extra adjoining letters which make up the title and a line from the work.
10 clues contain an extra part which must be highlighted.
2 lights are unclued and are part of the line in the work.

Hope that makes sense.

I should add that once you get the two extra letters in each of 1a & 10a you will fly through it, as I did.

Thank you K - that's more or less what I thought, given that I've got 9/10 answers, and none is normal. I have to leave it for a while, and come back later - refreshed, I hope.
