Not heard from you for a bit. How are you? Still (over)busy?

I am fine and hope you are too.
I was off the forum for about a month, taking a break to visit family in US, and France, plus a few days in Barcelona. I look in occasionally, but not nearly as much now.
It seems quieter than it used to be and a few familiar faces missing. Keep up your good work !

We're just back from a week in a (slightly run-down) palazzo in Italy!

I hope the weather and food made up for the lack of other things. Were you searching for ferns ?

Brilliant weather. Lovely place, really, with a great lady who did some superb cooking - great wine too. Great visits too - everyone should go to the Villa d'Este in Tivoli.

We looked for ferns, but didn't find much interesting.

....wonderful for orchids and other flowers, though!

BBC4 at 10 o'clock tonight includes a visit to the Villa d'Este

Thanks so much Chris for letting me know. I will have to record it and watch tomorrow. Villa d'Este is now on my bucket list .

Less than a minute at the end of the programme. The presenter really irritates me!

Sorry that the programme was disappointing for you.
My plan to record it failed, as channel 9(freeview) BBC4 was not available.
When I left for holidays, I disconnected TV/recorder/wifi etc. and lost some channels.
I have re-tuned twice this morning and all have returned, plus an extra 63 channels (which I will probably never use !)
