Gauche

Gaucho - change O (love) for E (European)

I think it is gauche
Gaucho - wiyh o changed to e

I agree Megan that people are very friendly.

Can I just mention that the definition is always at the very beginning or end of the clue - never in the middle.
In your clue Tactless is the definition so the solution has to be Gauche. The setter tries to confuse you by suggesting a cowboy (gaucho)!
