Stcuk on a combination - help appreciated.
Prune with shears 4 letters c ? ? ? CLIP or CROP
This gives a flowering plant beginning with P
with the rest being possibly PE?S?
Any flowering plants spring to mind?
E comes from ENVY (deadly sin)
S comers from OUTSIDE (The great outdoors.)
Happy to swap for any of the clues I do have.

Thanks Carol. I have been seen to 'oscillate' (2 down) between clip and crop over lunch but clip sounds better. Just struggling with 42 across (9 letters) for "drink mixing vessel"
