I've just got the one answer to do - number 53.Tree completely overshadows entrance to London thoroughfare (4,4)
I've looked through the current threads and have found a hint posted, but I'm not happy with my answer. Usually, once you've got the right answer it all fits, so I'm doubting whether my answer is right.
My answer consists of 2 rhyming words - what have other people got?

The tree might have dates...

2 rhyming words is good

L = L(ondon)

thoroughfare is the definition.

L(ondon) is part of how the clue is made up.
