I think 7 ac is Storm Centre, but don't really know this as a phrase. Does anyone else?

= storm centre (focus of controversy)

Thanks to both. I accept that storm centre is in the dictionary, but have never heard it used myself, certainly not in a figurative sense. "Eye of the storm" or possibly "centre of the storm" - yes, but never "storm centre". I'm also not sure that "storm" is a very good synonym for "raid".
