I have GRASS COURT but apart from gas for fog and maybe court for flat shoe, I don't see why.

Fog is a type of grass and a block of flats is sometimes called a court

37d IO'd never heard of 'fog' being a type of grass either. All done ... except perhaps someone can help explain what seems to be the answer to 55a ELECTRON GUN (I presume there is such a thing) - but then my answer to 47d "Fertiliser in container for plants, timber" wants to be POTASH - but then that messes up the "electron" bit. Can anybody put me out of my misery - without sending me out to mow the lawn, or (worse) turning an electron gun on me.
