Hi TJ, just made the very same response to someone else looking for help but providing no information... maybe there should be some wording on the New Thread page reminding people about this...

Hi JimC, Kim and SimonG!
Some time ago, John from Arran advised this very thing and his posting ended up in RED. It was brought to the top on a regular basis. It resulted in some ground rules being included on the "New Thresd" page. In view of the number of people who post stupid threads, I've just had a peep at the New Thread page. SURE ENOUGH!!! There it is. But selfish folk just ignore it.
We're just like Sisyphus (kicking a certain product uphill). You'll never see the end of these kind of threads. We'll just have to put up with it, or leave. Happy Crosswording, guys

Hi TJ, have just looked at the New Thread page and, of course, you're correct - it's clearly spelled out, shame not everyone follows it...

Maybe we should just ignore such threads?

Yep. It'd be great if ALL the regulars just did not reply to 'em, but I feel they're far to kind and generous. Real Pussycats, eh?
