Finished this quite early today, with the exception of

8a.c., which still eludes me.To the point where bed gets

hardly empty. ?I?h?.

My first, in fact, doris, but only pencilled until the first three letters (clued a bit loosely) were confirmed. Empty "hardly"....

Found this quite difficult but complete now.
24a definition is small figure with abbreviated day and T for time in the state of New York.
8a Definition is "to the point" with a slang term for bed with hardly emptied of Middle letters.
