Hello,

Can anyone help me understand the two solutions below?

1. "Returning lists, I get instant illumination (6)" SATORI

I understand that satori means enlightenment, but I don't get the "returning lists" bit.

2. "Tom, maybe, and a crest found in burial chamber (8)" CATACOMB

I don't understand the "crest" element; is crest a signifier for the initial C?

1, rotas (reversed) = lists

ROTAS (lists, sort of) backwards, then I

A coxcomb (on a cockerel, for instance) is a sort of crest

Both a bit loose

2 tom - cat
a comb- a crest ( on head of bird)
