Had a long train journey yesterday so bought two papers. The Mail - I solved all but two clues, which is about par for me.
The two were:
25a Lose power lines swirling in fierce wind (3,4)
23d Hold fast gear (6)
Then I embarked on the Telegraph. Big mistake. I solved just 7. Don't know if Thursdays are particularly bad in the Telegraph, but I won't be buying it again.

23d pinion

lose power - die down
anag. ode (lines) + wind
