Could you please explain your wordplay for OMNISCIENT as I cannot understand.

the full clue is...Income isn't squandered like 6(10). The answer to 6 is "egghead". So it's an anagram meaning clever.

I guess it is so last season to simply fail to provide the clue. It is so much more interesting to provide a partial clue - the scope for confusion is so much greater.
