Re HE MAN
It was a type of sweet beloved by children of a byegone era.
A tube was squeezed and out of the top came soft jelly.
Haven't seen the product for years,very likely banned under some Mummy State regulation now.

20d is legato, musical term for smooth. also an anagram of gelato which according to Chambers means a whipped ice cream (esp in Aus)(sic).
