With explanations if possible please.....
A) Little fellow is quiet abandoned on sandbank (3) E**. Is it "ELF"?
B) France provided with English kingdom (4) ****.
C) Plant that grows in three seconds (4) ****. Is it "SOSS"?
D) Dancer loses it in African city (4) L?*M*. It can't be Lima because that is the answer to another clue.
E) Cable from Hull, say? (6) *A*S*R. Is it "HAWSER" or "HALSER"?

My first thought for B was Fife as it's a kingdom. F, France+ If, provided, and E, English. Mamya's answer is more likely to be correct!
