I think I've solved this but appear to be missing one of the corrections - the letter 'i'. I suspect this may be in either
38a Basket for fish in boat (5) ?c?ll or
41a What saint experienced? On the contrary (5) ?t?aw
neither of which I can parse. Any help much appreciated.

I haven't finished this yet but I have 38a as a double definition, with no letter changes necessary.

Thank you Aristophanes, as usual I couldn't see it for looking at it as they say up here. Much appreciated.

I've finished this but there's one bit I don't get. For 15a, "Caught by magnetic field strength", I have GH. Could someone enlighten me? I'm prepared to be embarrassed.

As soon as I'd posted I saw that H is magnetic field strength. So G is caught?

Thanks, kettledrum. I knew that C is caught but not that oucht is a word. Pity the poor Yank.

I'd pity the poor Yank... but only if he/she didn't have a copy of Chambers.
